MFT 2018 Coloring Virtuoso - Pretty pocket card

I set myself a huge challenge for sure, creating this card for the MFT 2018 Card design superstar competition.

I started out making the background with watercolor powders. While this was drying I die cut the pocket with MFT Pretty pocket die-namics and stamped the images on it with the coordinating MFT Pretty pocket stamps.

I colored the flowers and leaf elements with watercolor and as it was drying I repeated this process over again.

After all the stamped images were dry, then I colored the background with powder watercolor. I positioned the pocket where I wanted it to be on my card and stared stamping around it.

Colored the leaves and flowers with the watercolor powder and while everything was drying I stamped and die cut the birds using MFT's Purrfect Friends bird images and die-namics.

Colored the birds in with watercolor powder.

When everything was bone dry, in my case it was about 2 days later ( as I only have 1h/day to do crafting), then I used glossy varnish and painted the birds and the small flowers over with that.

On the big flowers and the leaves I used a crackle varnish and painted it over to give a shiny appearance to my card once its dried.

At the end I bent the little words around the flowers and stamped them with black ink.

I glued the birds onto the card and used double sided foam squares to adhere the pocket to make the leaf and flowers look like it come out of the pocket.
